Description

I am selling a huge collection of rare Motown, Northern and 60`s soul records including every Tamla Motown album released between 1965 and 1970.

I have already listed the first 100 Tamla Motowns and the next lots are some of the most sought after soul albums ever listed on ebay. I have every OKEH, BRUNSWICK, ARCTIC, GAMBLE, SCEPTER AND WAND ALBUM but I am starting with some of the individual obscure and rare items. If you need to hear anything get in touch.

This is :

THE DETROIT SOUND - THE HAPPENING ETC - WYNCOTE 9208

A Rare soul collectors dream, this was issued by budget Philadelphia label Wyncote to cash in on the popularity of The Supremes and features covers of 3 Supremes tracks. The cover implies that these are Detroit recordings but apart from the 3 Motown covers the other 7 tracks are pure HARTHON out of Philly. Of course the stand out track is the storming version of The Four Larks - Groovin` at the go go retitled JUMPING AT THE GO GO. Other great Northern titles are GIVE LOVE ANOTHER CHANCE (same as 4 Larks),IT`S YOU BABY, DON`T TELL ME BABY, TENDER MEMORIES etc. Although the vinyl is in great condition these Wyncote budget albums were poor quality and there is a bit of hiss throughout

Check the sound clips

The cover is VG++ . The vinyl is VG++

Postage to UK is £3.00 for first album and £1.50 for each extra record.
