DERKETA "Premature Burial" 7"ep on Seraphic Decay Records (1990). Transparent purple / pink vinyl. Includes original lyric sheet. I'm not sure how many of these were pressed, but it's been out of print for over 22 years now... Rare as hell, as are all Seraphic Decay releases these days.... The vinyl is in like new condition, and the cover is also in excellent shape. This is my only copy, so bid now or lose out forever...
DERKETA is a death metal band from Pittsburgh, PA (USA) formed in 1988. Perhaps the first all female death metal band in history. Derkéta split up after recording the 1990 EP and demo in 1990. The band has recently reformed and is very active in recent years. The name Derkéta was taken from Stygian Mythology; Derketa was the goddess of death of a blood drinking cult. This EP should appeal to fans of ultra-heavy down-tuned doomy and brutal death metal such as Bolt Thrower, Rottrevore, Incantation, Mortician, Mythic, Acrostichon, Winter, 13, Crypt Of Kerberos, etc...
