DEL SHANNON COLLECTORS: Issued during 1961, here's a stunning and rare original UK yellow demo copy with the mis-pressed 'B' side of this great hit tune from DEL SHANNON with "RUNAWAY" on the UK LONDON AMERICAN imprint # HLX 9317 and although the record states it's backed with "JODY", it actually plays "THE SNAKE" by MAXIMILIAN.
This copy has the 4-prong centre intact and plays superbly throughout with top audible quality and remains in mint minus condition with the lightest of sleeve rubs and minimum of crackle on the run-in and run-out groove. Note however that it does have a small edge lift approximately 1 mm to 1.5 mm not affecting play (see picture 3). The labels are clean on both sides other than the company applied running times applied by hand as well as a small 'X' on the 'A' side and a small marker pen spot applied to the 'B' side within the press out centre and showing minimal signs of spindle wear. Still paired with an original company sleeve making this a very nice copy for the collector (see picture scans).
