SLEEVE CONDITION:..

The 1st issue sleeve has the title and catalogue not only on the spine but also printed on the top edge of the sleeve, only the 1st pressing of this album have this sleeve. The sleeve has the date code for 1974 (7411). Printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd  on matt card with the Ed Thrasher's artwork of Pegasus and the tornado. The sleeve has always been stored within a plastic sleeve, there is hardly any wear to the sleeve and looks  very near to the same condition as when I purchased the album new. I feel the sleeve grades easily Near Mint   

INNER SLEEVE CONDITION:..

The original inner sleeve is free of any splits or creasing and grades Near Mint

THE VINYL CONDITION:..

Visually the vinyl surfaces are clean, groove channels are clear of dust and debris. Viewing under powerful spot lamp just a couple of the finest of sleeve removal lines are just on the surface. No other marks anywhere on this vinyl. The labels are both clean and without even one spindle trace line either label, no writing or finger marks. I feel the vinyl grades visually Near Mint

AUDIO QUALITY:

Audio on both sides is strong clean sounding, and with brilliant sound separation on all tracks to both sides. Brief faint static is noted at intro as is expected and found on vinyl. Some light brief static tics are noted between a couple of tracks, these are short lived and only on deadwax. No background noise, clicks, sticks or jumps are found throughout both sides, and audio I feel on this 1st press stunning and grades

The Audio quality has been play graded using my Michell Engineering turntable with high quality MC cartridge.

RECORD COLLECTORS GRADING SYSTEM

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised sealed or un-played should be mint.

EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD the record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding scuffing

Their cover and inner sleeve are packed separately, and stiffened as required to prevent crushing. Sealed within plastic sleeves to prevent moisture issues during shipping, every care is taken.
