Description

DEEP PURPLE. MADE IN JAPAN. UK 1ST PRESSING. GRAMOPHONE TEXT ON LABEL. TPS 3511 A-1U PORKY/TPS 3511 B-1U DELTA PORK/TPS 3512 A-1U PECKO/TPS 3512 B-1U PECKIE MATRIX. HIGH GLOSS LAMINATE COVER. GRADES NEAR MINT.

My listening equipment is a highly revealing Roksan Xerxes/Artemiz/Shiraz turntable, pre/power amplification and Castle speakers.

Played on my system, this LP grades Near Mint. There is just a touch of very minor background noise to the run-in groove of side one and to occasional quiet parts, but this is so trivial that I still believe it merits a Near Mint grading. The gatefold cover has the first press high gloss laminate finish that gives it a brighter gold look than later pressings. This higher gloss finish is much more revealing of any marks and imperfections so it is almost impossible to find a 1st press cover in pristine condition. This one is about the best I've seen with just a few small thumbnail creases to the laminate.

This is considered to be one of the best recorded live albums and the sound quality of first pressings is fantastic. I doubt you'll ever find a better first press than this.

I ship overseas and I package above and beyond the call of duty
