'ITS THE VINYL COUNTDOWN'

Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

DEEP PURPLE

'CONCERTO FOR GROUP AND ORCHESTRA'

UK 1st HARVEST EMI A-1 B-1 Pressing STUNNING LAMINATED SLEEVE

An outstanding copy of this very collectable classic LP. Heavyweight vinyl that plays superb.

Released 1970

Label    EMI HARVEST  SHVL 767

Matrix     SHVL 767 A-1      Stamper: 3  GMT

                 SHVL 767 B-1   Stamper:  3 GMR

THE VINYL   EX+    SOUNDS SUPERB.

Has the earlist matrix numbers, but with the EMI credits around the centre label rim..so this is possibly not a first pressing as such, but the stampers suggest it is..! The vinyl is also a super heavyweight press, unlike the flimsy later 70s presses..so again, this is an odd one!

The vinyl has retained its glossy sheen and finish. There is virtually no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP set of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all, let alone like this.

There are some tiny tiny whisp lines a few light hairlines, and some light dust where the LP has clearly been archived for decades untouched!

It plays fantastic with only the odd tiny static pop or crackle for a split second..the quiet passages sound fantastic and for such a hard LP to find in 100% 'perfect audio'..this runs pretty damn close...we highly reccomend it, as most we hear (and thus avoid!) sound awful! This copy sounds superb!

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION.

THE SLEEVE     MINT-   AS NEW!!   INCREDIBLE.

Correct LAMINATED  Gatefold first issued earliest sleeve by 'Garrod & Lofthouse' -- this is straight out the box  ....the best sleeve we have ever seen in fact!

This is in simply incredible condition, you will not see better than this we feel! THE LAMINATION IS SIMPLY LIKE NEW! NO BUBBLING WEAR OR CREASING ANYWHERE.

The edges are all super clean with no traces of rub, and the tips also have no rub, all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition- The finish is immaculate & remains in absolute museum condition.

No powdery white ringwear or even ring press of any note, and all edges are super crisp.

The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition with no hint of handling

There is only the tiniest beginnings of ring press in a few spots..but again, we have never seen a sleeve with such 'minimal ringpress' as this before..not even close.

The open out of the gatefold is simply perfect, no dulling, white rub or wear at all. We have never seen a first sleeve without some kind of white 'wear' and 'damage'  ..THIS SLEVE HAS AVOIDED THIS TOTALLY AND IS IN  100% BRAND NEW CONDITION..AMAZING!

The spine edge is totally unmarked and all legends are perfect-there are no spots or signs of any wear at all!

WE CLARIFY BY SAYING, THIS SLEEVE IS SIMPLY MINT-

THE INNER SLEEVE  MINT -

Original PAPER EMI printed Patent inner bags..
