Description
Two UK ultra rare single sided 7 inch test pressings for the Deep Purple 1980 Harvest release of the 'New Live & Rare Vol 3' EP. Blue paper labels on each with handwritten matrix numbers SHELP 101A-1 and SHELP 101B-1. Both have been stamped 1 OCT 1980 and been initialled and given a red tick, presumably indicating they had passed inspection and were OK for manufacture.
The A side disc features 'Smoke On The Water' The B side disc includes 'Bird Has Flown' together with 'Grabsplatter'
The reverse side of each disc is pressed as blank and usually contains silence or a test tone.
Both discs are in pristine shiny condition. Judging by the single spindle mark on each label I would guess they were played just once for checking and then put away for the next 40+ years. Both could be rated Mint Minus. They are presented in plain black paper sleeves within polythene sleeves for protection.
