Description
This is the original UK LP by DEEP PURPLE, DEEP PURPLE IN ROCK, 1970 Stereo on HARVEST label SHVL 777
This is a very early Pressing, with 'GRAMOPHONE' rim label credits. Not a 1st Pressing BUT a VERY early 2nd Pressing, pressed straight after the initial 1st run of pressings. This is proved by the 'GRAMOPHONE' credits around the top half of the rim of the label's. Also a significant factor is the weight of the vinyl. The vinyl is of medium to heavy weight, I've compared the difference with a 1st pressing I have and their is very little difference in weight at all. 1973 Pressing with EMI label credits are flimsy light weight in comparison, the label's are lighter in colour as well. Also the vinyl is housed in a very 1st issue gatefold cover, with a lovely deep blue sky and beautiful thick glossy lamination. Again later pressing the blue sky was not so rich in colour and the lamination was not so thick and glossy in appearance.
What makes this pressing special along with is early pressing date is the sheer beautiful MINT- condition!. Together with its sumptuous warm clear bright vibrant Stereo sound and the stunning condition of the 1st issue gatefold cover, must rate as one of the 'BEST' examples of the superb album I've ever seen!
Matrix numbers are, Side 1:- SHVL 777 A-2, Side 2:- SHVL 777 B-1
Stamper codes are, Side 1:- 2 / GLT, Side 2:- 1 / GPM
The original 1970 UK Garrod and Lofthouse 1st issue gatefold cover is in a STUNNING MINT- condition. The cover maintains all it's original bright vibrant colour. The thick glossy lamination is beautiful! The solid spine is fully intact and clean and in MINT- condition, no wear at all. Inside of the cover is super super factory fresh clean!. Their are no seam splits and no unwanted writing
The vinyl is in MINT- condition!!!, gleaming with all it's original 'Just Pressed glossy shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very very carefully!) and the vinyl plays EX+++ / MINT- !. The vinyl plays with stunning crisp clear clarity *, amazing clean crisp Stereo sound!!!! *. The quality of this 1970 UK Stereo Pressing is TOP TOP QUALITY!, playing with stunning rich tones, warmth and depth!!
The label's are in MINT- condition, lovely and clean and fresh, maintaining all their original bright fresh colour, their is no unwanted writing, the centre spindle hole shows no wear
The vinyl is housed in its original 1970 UK1st issue EMI / HARVEST polythene lined inner sleeve and is in EX+++ / MINT- condition, lovely and clean, no seam splits, no unwanted writing
