BACH ORGAN RECITAL  KARL RICHTER at the Organ of Victoria Hall Geneva

 

vinyl LP on DECCA SXL 2219 STEREO 1960    Uk  pressing   

I have acquired a large classical collection of wonderful recordings from a very keen and dedicated collector.

They are all mostly from the late 50s to mid 60s - Something of a Golden Age in Classical recording

All records are inspected very carefully and 

Gradings are based on Record Collector magazine.

I try to only offer recordings in a minimum of excellent Condition unless it is something particularly rare when I will do my best to describe any visual or audible flaws

 Toccata and Fugue in D minor (BWV 565)

Fantasia and Fugue in G Minor- 'The great" ( BWV 542)


 

Side Two 

 Prelude and Fugue in E minor ( BWV 548)

Passacaglia and Fuue in C minor ( BWV 582)


 on the DECCA SXL  Black  Silver  Wide band  label  with "original recording by" text  ED1  1960 STEREO   recording   MATRIX ZAL 4777- 3D and ZAL 4778 - 3D

and audibly  Excellent- Near Mint with just very occasional soft "tics"

               A few very light crackles towards the end of band 1 during the quietest sections

Sleeve  -  laminated front sleeve   

Excellent    complete with Original Decca company inner sleeve   
A showcase Decca  organ recording performed by the highly regarded  Karl Richter ,professor of Organ at Munich's State Academy for Music. Four famous  thunderous organ works  from the genius of  J S Bach .
