FORMAT : 8x LP set.

COVER CONDITION : all covers VG+ to EX with all front graphics looking very nice, maybe some minor fading or faint stains, maybe a minor split seam, rears might have slightly more wear. DL 8312 has some splitting & subtle clear tape at top seam. please check photos closely.

VINYL CONDITION : all vinyl F to VG, all well used but not trashed other then DL 8311 which is pretty hammered and the only F grade in the lot. if you actually plan to play these please inquire for more detailed grading.

NOTES : in 1956 decca issued eight compilation LPs under the thematic headings, “MUSIC FOR THE BOY FRIEND” and “MUSIC FOR THE GIRL FRIEND.” each jacket featured an original pinup illustration by george petty, whose iconic “petty girl” graced the pages of esquire magazine. this is the complete run of eight albums, decca DL 8309 – DL 8316 : "did someone say a party?" / "she dotes on dreamy music" / "she adores the latin type" / "she loves the movies" / "he likes to go dancing" / "he really digs jazz" / "he digs rock 'n roll" / "the feminine touch". one of these titles, the latin type, is uncommon, and another, the rock ‘n roll LP (fetched $510 on ebay in april 2014) attracts additional value for its musical content - imagine that." … not exactly easy to find on their own, and a pretty tough score as the full series. quite lovely all together...

- for grading i use : M / NM / NM- / EX / VG++ / VG+ / VG / VG- / F graded under bright bare-bulb direct light… unless there are specific mentions of audio quality please consider grading as visual only.
