*********A MAGNIFICENT EXAMPLE**************

 If you're looking for the most essential old-school death metal album, search is over. This is one of the two greatest to come out of the United States (thinking about Altars of Madness by Morbid Angel), an album I knew even before Leprosy. So it's the pair of these two that are essential for old-school death metal completed by Left Hand Path.

Leprosy is a classic from start to finish. Trademark death metal vocals, riffing and the surprisingly developed lead guitar work make this one an essential listen.

Chuck Schuldiner has got one of the most easily recognizable voices in all extreme metal, let alone death metal. Rick Rozz is the second guitarist and he penned here the only Death song not to be composed by Schuldiner himself (Primitive Ways).

Pull the Plug is one of the greatest old-school death metal songs, closely followed on the album by Left to Die and Open Casket with that manic chorus which quickly became a genre-defining classic. I'd also highlight the Candlemass-like doom metal funeral march-style main riff in the closing song as a sign of diversity.

If you're looking for essential death metal or '80s extreme metal done extremely well, you can simply not pass this over. This is the embodiment of all that is great in death metal. I can't believe this record has over 30 years but it's aging well. (review from: rateyourmusic.com)

      

          

      Extremely hard to find death metal album (on vinyl) with stunning songcraft!! Caravan, like only few other bands had a natural interaction in which the members "played off" each other. This album flows like no other and is probably their most accomplished piece of work. Heavy vinyl in EX condition.


                                 Vinyl: EX.  This is the proper first press. The vinyl is splendid without marks or hairlines. Just some light paper retraction traces under a strong light source. The replay is phenomenal and for me definitely beats the cd version. No clicks, skips, jumps etc. No background noise. Unbelievable musicianship and no wonder that this album is so much sought after. 

 

 

                         Sleeve: EX. Full rich colours. One tiny corner crease. Light wear on the top and bottom edge. The spine is fully legible. Just look at the pictures. Tiny corner "micro" bumps. Notoriously hard to find album!

Also retains its original photo/lyric inner sleeve in EX condition.
