Music composed and performed by Neil Young with poetry reading by Johnny Deep..from the film "DEADMAN" by Jim Jarmusch...original 1996 Vapor USA pressing.

Both vinyl records are visually very good (with some light surface marks).The cover is grading Very Good also...and sure to delight the new owner. Includes both insets..in fair to good condition.Happy to test play if preferred.

Dead Man is the soundtrack to the 1995 Jim Jarmusch western-themed film of the same name starring Gary Farmer and Johnny Depp as William Blake. Neil Young recorded the soundtrack by improvising (mostly on his electric guitar, with some acoustic guitar, piano and organ) as he watched the newly edited film alone in a recording studio. The soundtrack album consists of seven instrumental tracks by Young, with dialog excerpts from the film and Johnny Depp reading the poetry of William Blake interspersed between the music. The version of the main theme used over the film's beginning and end credits is not included, but was released as a promo single.

I'd like to add the following grading system..

Mint....genuine brand new..unplayed condition.

Near Mint...has been played...but as close to brand new as you could hope for...with no reduction in audio quality...and near mint covers would be like new.

VG+...still an excellent item..but with some possible reduction in audio quality...and holding 85-90% of near mint value.

VG...holding 75-85% of near mint value..

Good..65-75% of near mint value

Fair..worth about half of near mint value...but definitely has issues

Poor..I'd hope to not list in poor condition.

I'd rate this album as VG+ on all counts..and having test played a small section..it appears to play and sound of VG+ standard..but I apologies that my grading is predominantly based on visual appearance..partly for time reasons..but also to avoid adding wear to items that in most cases are in close to near mint condition (this one is not near mint...but worthy of VG+..on visual grading).

There are no issues with the cover...(other than a very light hint of some wear starting on the seam...but not split and being an unusual soft cardboard construction..I've not seen a brand new one to compare...but to me..it looks great..)..and has both dust jackets..
