Originally released in 1984, reissued in 2010 and now brought back into circulation, this worldwide smash is a microcosm of 80s excess and wild dance music that ruled the decade. Part disco, part synthpop and full of energy and addictiveness, it's a track that has survived and flourished among fans of the decade. This special edition gathers together many of the key remixes picked up via the song's many re-releases. Side-A opens with the one of the original mixes in the 'Murder Mix', a slicker, extended take that's full-on, over the top synthpop with plenty of disco inspiration. It's followed by the Metro mix from 2003 which took the track into a more Eurodance and hi-NRG version. Completing side-A is the 1997 remix called 400 Hz Kleopatra, one truly fit for the warehouses with energy levels raised to the max. On side-B you get another original remix in the shape of the Performance mix, then one of the most outrageous and epic mixes couretsy of S'Express man with Mark Moore & Mr. Motion, deep and trancey but retaining its mirroball disco flavour. The monster package closes with the original 7" version that started it all, still punchy and powerful. Each version has a legacy in its own right and together, this package is a great example of how Pete Burns treated his signature song throughout the years as his taste in music evolved.
