DEAD OR ALIVE (PETE BURNS)-ULTRA RARE VINTAGE CONCERT POSTER from approximately 1982. (Sat July 4th - Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool. Tickets £2). Size: 30" x 39". ––––––––– You are bidding on a mega rare Dead Or Alive Liverpool concert poster that was erected outside the Royal Court Theatre for the gig. This was Dead Or Alive before they found fame in the mid-eighties. At this stage they were more Goth than Pop. –––––––– As you can see from the poster, they were supported by The Ponderosa Glee Boys and The Room (not sure who these were, probably Liverpool bands at the time). It's amazing that this poster has survived all these years and you will never see one on Ebay again. My sister, who was a fan at the time, got this poster from the shop Pete worked in at the time (Probe Records) and may well have bought it from the man himself who you would see working there looking as outrageous and miserable as usual. I'm not entirely sure about that, but I do know my sister used to go in and get served by him for records and stuff like that all the time. I would see him in there a lot too, he was quite a celebrity even before he was famous - how could he not be!! –––––– The poster is printed black ink on dayglow lime coloured paper, so it's quite vivid and distinctive! It has been in storage all these years and the condition is GOOD, probably 6 out of 10, but like I say it's amazing to see one of these in existence - considering the age in in very good condition for a poster of it's kind. There is a 6" tear to the left of the poster (see arrow) and a 8" tear on the right, but as you can see they are not hardly noticeable. The poster would look stunning (and even better) framed. A true one-off item. Bid now while you get this rare chance.
