Labouring under the Machine Head tour and with inter-band relationships that saw both Gillan and Glover feuding with the sometimes difficult Blackmore and quitting the band early the following year, the record, for its part, does not suffer from the personnel inconsistencies, the band playing what would become, in retrospect, a greatest hits set. The consistency of the material - 'Child In Time', 'Strange Kind Of Woman', 'Space Truckin'' - was, and still is, astounding, matched only by the arch standards of Purple's live performance. ........................

The DCC record label is unfortunately long gone. They produced some of the best sounding audiophile software to ever hit the market, most of which was mastered by Steve Hoffman. This makes all their LPs, Gold CDs and Silver Sided CDs all out of print. As time goes on, you will undoubtedly notice significant increases in the prices of the DCC items, especially as the supply dwindles down to next to nothing. In fact, you may have already noticed the skyrocketing price on some of their products. This is no coincidence as all audiophiles and music lovers seek out their software, simply because the product was so good! Get them while you can as they won't be around for long!

The DCC analogue double LP/RECORD is in NEARMINT condition, complete and made in JAPAN/USA = mastered by Steve Hoffman from the original master/session tapes with all vacuum-tube cutting system. The Cover/Booklet includes the complete original artwork, linernotes and Photos from the ORIGINAL-LP. This double LP/Record comes without the original DCC-Poly wrap. There are none dents or cracks in the Cover, ..... none of seams are split or corners badly damaged. It is not a cut-out. (No saw marks or drill holes.) It is a completely original Japan/USA-Pressing on the DCC Compact Classics, Inc. This analogue double LP/Record is long out of print and is an extremely rare title. This is one of the rarest DCC titles to find, especially factory sealed. This ANALOGUE DOUBLE-LP/RECORD comes from my own personal collection and smoke-free environment. .....
