Description

This Davy Graham album was released in 1970, and I bought it round about then. Holly Gwyn, his wife at the time, contributes to the vocals.

The album (Decca SKL 5056) is in stereo and has the matrix numbers ZAL-9853.P-1W and ZAL-9854.P-1W on sides 1 and 2 respectively. I have looked after the album extremely well since its purchase. It has not been played a great deal as many albums I purchased I recorded to tape and played that instead. It has been stored vertically in a record cabinet alongside other LPs all its life.

The record has a few barely visible surface marks which can only just be seen if held at an angle with a light shining on it. It plays very well with superb sound and with no skipping or jumping. There seems to be hardly any surface noise or sound deterioration after all these years.

The front cover is in excellent condition with a clearly legible spine with no splits in the lamination. The back of the album cover is also in very good condition but does have a very small glue mark along the top edge of the photograph. This seems to have removed a small very narrow section of the print - only about 1 to 2 cm by 2mm. The mark has been there since I bought the album and it may be just visible in photo 2. The back cover also has a black label listing the tracks, and this has been stuck on by the printers - something I have never seen before.The cover is printed by Upton Printing Group and laminated with Clarifoil.

The album comes with its original inner sleeve which is paper with plastic insert. There are no folds,splits or tears in this inner sleeve.
