ORIGINAL UK RCA (APL1-1327) FIRST PRESSING (January 1976) OF DAVID BOWIE'S TREMENDOUS "Station To Station" LP IN STUNNING, POSSIBLY COMPLETELY UNPLAYED CONDITION (the labels show no spindles or signs of use and the vinyl surfaces are unmarked and shine like new) AND THE AUDIO DELIVERY IS SENSATIONAL THROUGHOUT - A BEAUTIFULLY CLEAN PRESSING - FANTASTIC COPY AND THEY DON'T COME MUCH BETTER THAN THIS - VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED INDEED
PRESSED ON QUALITY MID-WEIGHT VINYL (surprisingly thick and chunky for the time and much more robust than later pressings) WITH THE FIRST ISSUE RCA MATT ORANGE LABELS

Station to Station takes the detached plastic soul of Young Americans to an elegant, robotic extreme.
Abandoning any pretence of being a soulman, yet keeping rhythmic elements of soul, David Bowie positions himself as a cold, clinical crooner and explores a variety of styles.
Everything from epic ballads and disco to synthesized avant pop is present on Station to Station, but what ties it together is Bowie's cocaine-induced paranoia and detached musical persona.
At its heart, Station to Station is an avant-garde art-rock album, most explicitly on "TVC 15" and the epic sprawl of the title track, but also on the cool crooning of "Wild Is the Wind" and "Word on a Wing," as well as the disco stylings of "Golden Years."
It's not an easy album to warm to, but its epic structure and clinical sound were an impressive, individualistic achievement, as well as a style that would prove enormously influential on post-punk

LABELS: Clean, bright and fresh labels with no spindle traces or signs of use - in my opinion this copy has never been played - MINT
VINYL Visual: The record lies perfectly flat on the turntable and both surfaces retain their original deep, like-new glossy sheen - MINT
VINYL Audio: Outstanding audio throughout with a crystal clear, deep, rich and detailed sound - beautifully recorded and engineered and on playback at a very loud volume (which is how I always listen to my records prior to listing) the audio delivery is flawless - this is a an exceptionally clean pressing - from the phased train opening right through to the beautiful "Wild Is The Wind" it's pristine - the run-ins and track divisions are practically silent (which in my experience is pretty rare for this LP) - critically graded a beautiful MINT for audio quality - fantastic copy and one very highly recommended indeed
SLEEVE: The untreated matt sleeve is clean with crisp, sharp edges and spine - all spine text is clear and bold - an extremely well kept example - EXCELLENT+
INSERT: The matt insert is in practically untouched condition - NEAR MINT
