Description
For auction here is an extremely rare First UK pressing of David Bowie’s self-titled 1969 album on the Philips label. This first issue did not trouble the UK charts so only few were pressed. When re-issued as ‘Space Oddity’ it did much better. It is rare to see a decent example for sale. The original gatefold sleeve is in VG condition. If not for a small rubbed area on the back- probably due to sticker removal - it would be VG+ as there are no tears or writing and the spine is readable. Inside of gatefold is excellent and unmarked. Original inner sleeve in great condition Record is VG+ visually as has only a few minor scuffs and faint hairlines. When played it has some initial crackles and noise on first track side one but after that plays excellently with no clicks sticks skips or jumps - a great sounding record despite its 49 years age. Labels are excellent with no marks and minimal spindle wear. This is a very good condition and great sounding copy of a very rare and desirable record. Record will come in a new anti-static inner. Low starting price and no reserve
