This is a 1972 first UK pressing which is a demonstration / promotional copy.
Although this is a rare record this one has various issues which mean that it should be treated as a collection filler only, so please ensure that you have read and understood the whole description before buying or bidding.
The good news is that both songs play through from start to finish with no jumps or skips. However, the following issues need to be noted:
- The push out centre was 'pushed-out' and has been glued back in place, and the A side of the push-out centre is faded/worn.
- There is a crack in the vinyl which runs across the label and into the run-out grooves of the disc, but which doesn't affect play.
- There is a chip at the edge which has been glued back in place.
This last issue (the repaired chip) does have some impact on the play: if you put the stylus down too near to the edge of the record it causes a continual repeat of the run-in groove and the stylus doesn't advance. However, if you place the stylus after this, it plays the track okay, without actually missing any of the music. However there is a click for the intros to both sides until the stylus moves beyond the affected area.
So to summarise: if you put the needle down too near the edge, it sticks and doesn't play the songs, but if you get it right it plays both tracks, without missing any music, but with a loud click for the first few revolutions of each side.
Apart from this issue the record actually plays without problems and is okay to listen to, but this copy is sold as a collection filler for the various reasons stated above.
