OUTSIDE TOUR UK 1995

HANDBOOK FOR BAND MEMBERS AND CREW

Here's an unusual item. Given to me by a member of David Bowie's backing band from the Outside tour in 1995, it's a 54 page spiral-bound handbook/diary giving details of the itinery and schedules for the UK tour. From the first rehearsals in London on November 8th right through to the last recording of a TV show on December 8th, it's packed with facts and detail for the band and crew to know where they should be from one day to the next. It's full of information about gig venues, TV show recordings, contact details of promoters, booking agents, management companies, hotel addresses and numbers, travelling timetables, etc. It has an acetate cover surrounding the main body of the book, the cover of which features artwork similiar to that of the "Outside" album. It's a fascinating insight into the life of a musician on tour, as well as including little pieces of musical hierarchy- while the band have details of what exclusive hotels they'll be staying in, the crew have to slum it in far less luxury! An extremely rare item, it's a rare glimpse into the world of a touring rock group. It's in very good condition, having been looked after very carefully since I was given it in 1995. A great addition to the collection of the astute Bowie fan!
