Recorded at the Advision Studios,London.
On the 3rd, 14th & 15th January 1970.
Written by David Bowie & Produced by Tony Visconti.
I purchased this many moons ago so hand on heart and with all good intentions as far as I can find out this is a genuine release.
Since placing this item on eBay I have revised it to include information regarding this release. There is a possibilty that this may or may not be counterfeit, and it may or may not have been released in Scandinavia. There is no hard evidence I can find that tells me one way or the other. I feel I should be honest and let all those interested what you might or might not be bidding on...thank you.
The Matrix numbers are printed and not handwritten and they face inwards rather than outwards.
On the left handside of the label some original copies have the wording Essex International, this one has in capital letters NCB.
IN VERY GOOD CONDITION
One of the great early David Bowie song "Memory Of A Free Festival". The single comes housed in a Mercury records company sleeve.
This song commemorates the Beckenham free arts festival held by Bowie to showcase his talent, was originally recorded for the 'David Bowie' Philips album, later re-named 'Space Oddity'.
This version is more rock-oriented than the album version. Bowie and producer Tony Visconti split the song in two to function as an A-side and B-side for the single.
A timeless early David Bowie classic, still sounds as great as ever!
Comes with 3-prong plastic spider centre.
Both labels are clean and unmarked.
Mercury sleeve is slightly creased with an old sticker mark on it.
