TITLE/INFO: Hello - If you have an interest in great conditioned "oldies" of all varieties (in both vinyl and CD formats), please continue to check in on my site as I have many more items to sell yet in addition to what's already on the site -and thank you in advance. This near mint single is by the popular, and somewhat unlikely pair of artists - David Bowie and Bing Crosby - and comes with its original picture sleeve, too. David Bowie was a popular '70s-'80's singer/songwriter who released many R'n'R type singles in his day and Bing Crosby was a similarly popular "crooner" of beautiful ballads from a couple generations earlier in the 1950's. In my opinion, it appears to be an odd pairing to say the least. But their harmonizing together on this classic Christmas single is nothing short of outstanding! This single is his entitled, "Peace On Earth/Little Drummer Boy" (in Mono), with "Fantastic Voyage" (by Bowie all alone) as its B-side (in Stereo) on the RCA Records label (PH-13400). The record's vinyl is in near mint, close to perfect condition - and the picture sleeve is very good to excellent as well (see pictures above). The single with its song titles, the record labels, and both sides of the picture sleeve are clearly visible in the pictures above, so please check them all out.
INTERESTING FACTS: As always, I have begun the auction at a low opening bid and have no reserve price - just free and open bidding - so good luck! FYI, if anyone wants to bid on multiple items to save on postage costs, I am more than happy to "save" your winning pieces here at the house until you are ready for shipping - just tell me ahead of time, wait for my invoice (not EBay's), and pay for each item as you win them. I am selling off my entire personal collection of records and "stuff", and there are 100's more items to list yet. These are U.S. rates only, and any foreign winner will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The initial charges for overseas shipping are $26.00 for this 45/PS package - but then much less per record after that.
