Description
Dave Van Ronk - "Folksinger" - 12" LP - High Fidelity Mono 1967 release Prestige Records Bergenfield address.
Allmusic gave it a 5 of 5 stars in their review and stated "This is a vital touchstone of Americana and likewise is highly recommended as a key component of any serious collection of 20th century folk music." It is the only Van Ronk album to have received 5/5 stars from Allmusic.
Vinyl is VG with one scratch on side 1 that runs from the end of track 2 through track 4 and can barely be felt with the fingertip. It runs along the direction of play. Side 2 has a scratch that runs from track 1 through track 5, and can easily be felt with the fingertip. It runs almost perpendicular to the direction of play.
Front cover is Excellent, with just a very small part of a curve mark on the bottom left (in the fire escape) and a few small blemishes on the upper right side above Van Ronk's head.
The rear cover is VG++ with a small partial yellowed curve mark at the top center, some fading/yellowing along the left side and a few small yellow stains at the bottom right and top left.
Bottom corners are VG++ and spine is Excellent.
Sleeve is plain white that has yellowed and is not split but has wrinkles in two corners, one of which is torn and folded over.
I grade very conservatively and usually drop one grade just to be safe. I want you, the customer, to be happy with your purchase and try to describe each record as accurately as possible. That being said, I grade by eye and touch and do not make any guarantees regarding audio quality, background noise, clicks, pops, etc.
I will combine shipping if you buy any of my other records for sale on eBay. I am going through a large collection from my years in the music business and will be adding more items from the 60's, 70's and 80's as time allows.
