Description

This vinyl Set is actually in memory of alerting Moore, the saxophonist in the Dave Mathews band! The songs do not specify which songs that played in, as his untimely death happened before the album was finished! Tim Reynolds is joined with Jeff Coffin of Bela Flecks Flecktones. “Big Whiskey, though, is a lot like a New Orleans funeral parade- mourning and zest balled into big, brawny music.” We’ll be drinking big whiskey while we dance and sing”, Mathew crows in “Why I Am.” “ And when my story ends, it’s gonna end with him/Heaven or hell/I’m going down with GrooGrux King.” I’m betting on heaven and that Moore will be quietly waiting for him.  Review by David Fricke
