Description

Absolutely stunning original 1959 first pressing copy of Brubeck's classic Time Out LP on Columbia mono CL-1397. Original 6-Eye labels with original Columbia inner sleeve. The disc is almost perfectly mint and plays near flawlessly and just beautifully. There are one or two extremely light superficial scuffs but they don't affect the play at all. Really an incredible sounding copy. Paul Desmond just pops out of the grooves like he is right in the room with you. Totally different sound from the later pressings. The cover also is just beautiful, with some wear at the right edge, where the outer paper is wearing off just along the opening just a little. Very slight wear at the bottom edge near the spine as well, but otherwise a truly gorgeous cover, with no ringwear and no seam splits. This is a truly top, gorgeous original copy. Very very hard to beat.
