Dan Hicks was the mastermind behind this holiday classic; The Christmas Jug Band Mistletoe Jam. This Relix Records release (RRLP 2036) was called “The Alternative Christmas Record Of All Time” by The Midwest Record Recap.  


Mistletoe Jam is an all-acoustic skiffle/swing/jug band affair that twists Christmas classics into off-the-wall parodies like Rudolph The Bald-Headed Reindeer.  The Christmas Jug Band contains members of Country Joe & The Fish, Commander Cody, and the original Hot Lick, Dan Hicks! The cellophane is open—but still in place where it’s protected the sleeve.
