Curtis Fuller – The Opener ?– BLP 1567 – Blue Note Ear – 47 W. 63rd – with Hank Mobley

1957 First pressing.  Good condition.

Record Condition: (graded visually)
NM / VG+ / VG / GOOD
 Sides A:  Has some surface scratching and scuffs. Most scratches are superficial and do not break the surface, no deep gouges.  Side A plays very well.  On scratch can be mildly felt across tracks A2 and A3.
Sides B:  Has some surface scratching and scuffs. Most scratches are superficial and do not break the surface, no deep gouges.  Side B plays very well.  One scratch on Track B1 can be slightly felt
Label: Blue Note Label.  Some minor discoloration from age.  47 W. 63rd addresses on both sides.
Dead Wax:
•   Side A:  (Etched) BN-LP-1567-A-1 (stamped) “P” RVG
•   Side B:  (Etched) BN-LP-1567-B-1 (stamped) “P” RVG

Format:  Mono, 33 1/3 Long Playing

 

Cover Condition: (graded visually)
NM / VG+ / VG / GOOD

Front:  Cover graphics are in very crisp and clear.  Discoloration on the top edge from a previous owner taping a seam split (6 ¾”) on the right side.  The tape has since been removed and the split has been repaired from the inside of the sleeve with glue.  Left and bottom edges show minor wear is spots, but have no splits.  Minor corner dings.
Back: Back cover is in good condition.  Some discoloration and staining is evident.  The previous owner, “Cliff”, wrote his name in the upper right hand corner.  Liner notes are intact, clear and legible.
