Current 93/HOH ISLAND LP 1st Pressing Signed Steven Stapleton w/ Booklet RARE!!
ISLAND
by
Current 93/HOH
Published by DURTRO, UK, 1991
This album was recorded in Iceland between 1986 and 1991. Much of this music forms the basis for HÖH's soundtrack to an Icelandic film called "Children of Nature". The opening track, "Falling" features Bjork on vocals.
This was originally released in 1991, by Durto, and has become a legendary album, highly sought after by Current 93 collectors. This is the very rare 1st Pressing. The record sleeve has been signed by Steven Stapleton (as much a member of Current 93, as David Tibet - but Tibet thinks he is Current 93, and is increasingly becoming difficult to deal with). Tibet used to sign records in the past, but he no longer signs any requests. Instead, he decides what releases he will sign, before releasing. in the meantime, whenever he needs money, he does some very basic naïve drawings, which he sells on his site. Those are actually signed, but you don't get much for your money. If Tibet was an outsider artist, they would mean something. But as things stand, this is just a money grab, to generate income, when times are tough.
Tibet can definitely do better than this! He has created some fine work, and although most of these are only available through art dealers now, and involve the cost of a significant premium, there are still good quality artworks in private hands, which can be purchased. Soon, these will also be very expensive.
This classic C93 album includes original 4-sided - folded A4 - lyric sheet on white structured paper. And, it has been signed by the other permanent Current 93 member - Steven Stapleton (also of Nurse With Wound).
Do not miss out on this rare opportunity. Use the Buy It Now, before someone else does!
