Hello and Welcome to 10 penny auctions.If i can explain ive inherited my Fathers record collection and i know an awful lot about record collecting as since the early 70s my father took me around every record fair and shop i can think of,so be rest assured i know how to grade a record in line with the uk record collector grading standards.

Postage will be every day from Monday to Friday.

All records will be posted in ultra strong cruciform mailers not the flimsy envelope mailers and packed with 2 strong stiffeners these cost me 60p on their own.

UK 1st class recorded delivery is £4.00 up to the value of £50.00 And then it will be special delivery next day by 1 at a cost of £7.00.

Europe International signed for delivery with insurance and tracking is £10.00 for a single lp and £12.00 for a double lp.This is for items up to £50.00 in value,.if it is more you need to add £2.50p for extra insurance.

Rest of the world is £13.00 for a single lp and £14.50p for a double lp up to the value of £50.00 then its a extra £2.50p if its more than £50.00p

Please note these are the costs laid down by the uk postal service and i have to use this service as rules laid down by paypal and ebay,it also is rest assuring for you the buyer and me the seller that your record is tracked and fully insured,please do not ask me for another cheaper service with no tracking as i will not under any circumstances do this.

If you wish to save money on posting the best way is to buy more than one record because then its much cheaper for example.

europe £10 for first lp then approximately only £1.50 for each record bought on top.

Rest of the world £13 for the first lp then approximately £2.50 for each record on top.

 All Records are graded under a 3 million candle spotlight lamp that does not miss anything,Please note we are all human and occasionally maybe i get things wrong in which case please contact me so i can rectify the problem,but i will not be threatend with feedback hostaging like has been done to me by a private buyer who wanted a partial refund of 160 pounds on a lp he paid 193 on but he did not want to return if for a full refund plus his returned postage he just wanted the partial refund else he would leave me negative,well as ebay have left sellers no protection by taking away the right to leave negative leaving the door open for buyers to extort sellers with this feedback hostaging,i will aim to sort any problems out but i will not be threatend like this and will not in anyway tolerate it

My New policy regarding postage needs to be explained further i do not use postage as a money making exercise but neither do i want to lose money,so please bear in mind i pay 60p for cruciform mailer and 2 stiffeners so you get your record as it leaves me so in future now you will only pay exact cost thats on the stamp and 60p any change from that will be refunded through paypal after postage.I will play grade as many as i possibly can but please understand ive got a lot of vinyl to sell so it will not be possible to do it with every lp.

If you are not happy and feel i have got it wrong please contact me to sort it out rather than leaving negative feedback,that resolves nothing at all and contacting me to sort it out is surely a better solution and allows me to put the matter right.

Please remember my grading is in line with uk record collector not goldmine iam english not american:) Was having a break for xmas with my family and a winter holiday but i could not resist offering this exciting piece of vinyl to the market.

   In january 1969 Ossie Byrne who had previously produced several of the Bee Gees earlier hits, was spreading his wings and signed a promising band called Cressida to his production company and immediately put them into a small studio in Denmark Street, London to make some demos which were later used in securing a deal with the Vertigo record label.

   The first songs Cressida ever recorded were Depression, Lights in My Mind and Sad Eyed Fairy. For many years it was thought that these demo tracks on a worn aceteate were all that sutvived of those early recodrings. Whilst the original studio masters of the demos were almost certainly lost or destoryed, no one knew whether any of the band members might have had some reel-to-reel copies of those recordings.  After re-establishing contact with each other the and restoriginal band members decided to see if, after all, any copies of those first recordings still exsisted. And so, the search for the lost tapes began...

Boxes were turned out in storerooms and attics in places as far apart as Los A|ngeles and the Highlands of Scotland. Slowly, over a period of weeks a few old 3 3/4 i.p.s. audio tapes were unearthed and the faded labels finally confirmed that the lost Cressida tapes had been found! These old mono recordings were however in a very fragile state and had to be sent to specialists for repair and rsetoration before they could be digitised and then mastered by Fluid Mastering for this Record Collector Rare Record Club release.

Recorded in 1969 on a 2-track machine in Central Sound Studios in a basement next door to the famous La Gioconda coffee bar in Denmar Street, the line-up of the band on all but the last three tracks on this album consists of Angus Cullen(vocals), Iain Clark(drums), John Heyworth(Guitar), Kevin McCarthy(bass) with Lol Coker(Hammond organ).

 Side one of Trapped In Time opens with Play Your Little Game, Winter Is Coming Again, Cressida and Depression. All trhese songs subsequently apppeared on Cressida's classic first album but can be heard here in their demo form for the fisrt time and have an organis torque that is fresh and compellin. They are followed by Sad Eyed Fairy heard for the first time. The final track on side one, Lights In My Mind was also on the band's first album. This version is particularly interesting because the bass drum dissappears from the mix about halfway through the song. The bass drumpedal beater fell off and Iain Clark carried on playing while the engineer scrabble to put it back in place just in time for the last few bars of the song!

 Side two openas with Let Them Come When they Will which subsequently appeared on Cressida's second album, Asylum. By then this tour-de-force orf Cressida's live shows had evolved into an extended version but the shorter original version can be heard here for the first time. This is followed by the quite commerical Situation another song never released before. Although it never made it onto the first album, it was later recorded as a single but for some reason was never released. Then again, Vertigo was never really big on singles..

 The last three tracks on side two feature the line-up with Peter Jennings on keyboards. He replaced Lol Coker before Cressida recorded their first Vertigo album (released in 1970). and immediately brought a new dimension to the band that can be cleraly heard on Earthman In Town and the gentle ballad of Down Town, two songs on the band's first album. Side two concludes with another song never heard before, Mental State. This number reflected a move towards incorporating jazz oriented sequences into some of their songs, that later came to characterise Cressida's music.

 It is interesting to hear how the final versions that can be heard on Cressida's Vertigo albums evolved from those early demo recordings. Although these tracks exhibit all the blemishes and imperfections of hurriedly made demos they neverthe less capture thr excitement, spirit and compelling groove of a working band in its very earliest days and the fine song writing talents of Angus Cullen and John Heyworth
