Up in this auction is a rare and funny 2 record set (2 78rpm 10" records ) with the recording of The Great Crepitation Contest. (Farting contest) Between the returning champion Englishman Lord Windesmear and the challenger, Australian Paul Boomer in their great competition. A blow by blow account, (fart by fart account). This is a gas!! These 78rpm records are in excellent condition with only a very few minor scuffs/scratches from storage; still lots of shine on the recording surface; no cracks, chips, or even moderate wear. Complete recording consisting of Parts 1 and 4 on one record, plus parts 2 & 3 on other record. These were play graded using a Technics SL-D2 direct drive turntable converted to 78rpm using a Shure M44C cartridge with a new (less than 2 hours play) 3 mil diamond needle at 3.7 gram weight - there were no loud pops or skips at all; but some minor hiss normal for even a new-old-stock 78rpm shellac record. These two records come with plain brown paper sleeves in a very nice black cardboard holder. If you have any questions or would like more photos, please ask before bidding.
