Description

An original 1st press of COSMO's on UK Liberty. Matrix A1/B1. Stampers 1-RR/2-RO. Absolutely correct label for 1970. The vinyl is still quite chunky and comes housed in an original front laminated cover printed by Upton. We also have the original generic white inner with correct patent information. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Wow, a beautiful copy that has only seen light careful use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Difficult to part with this LP - this is one of my favourite LPs of all time. And wow - when you hear it on a properly clean 1st it really is a piece of magic! The audio has depth, excellent dynamics, and bags of detail. It's playing clean into all areas. The only vaguest issue I could pick up was the odd isolated crackle in the 11 minute Grapevine cover. Very minor and of little consequence - I'm just mentioning it to be as ultra critical as I can. The whole Lp is a total joy to play. A band at the height of their powers! Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex) In beautiful condition - they don't all surface looking like this. The front is shiny flat and uncreased - sweet! Super colour retention. There is one low-level blemish/scuff on the front over over John's face. Looks to me like it is a fault in the lamination at the time of printing [no big deal]. The rear can be found aged or worse - worn. But this example is in remarkable condition - no wear at all and not a whiff of ageing. There's no edge wear to speak of and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
