Description

An original 1st press of COSMO's on UK Liberty. Matrix A1/B1. Stampers 1-M/1-PA [1st Mother]. Absolutely correct label for 1970. In fact, the earliest copies exhibit 'Product Of California' - at the top of the label. The vinyl is still quite chunky and comes housed in an original front laminated cover printed by Upton. We also have the original generic white inner with correct patent information. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) Very well preserved and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. The audio has depth, excellent dynamics, and bags of detail. It's playing clean into nearly all areas. The only vaguest issue I could pick up was a few isolated crackles in the 11 minute Grapevine cover. Minor and of little consequence - I'm just mentioning it to be as ultra critical as I can. The whole Lp is a total joy to play. A band at the height of their powers! Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex) In beautiful condition - they don't all surface looking like this. The front is shiny flat and uncreased - sweet! Super colour retention. The rear can be found aged or worse - worn. But this example is in remarkable condition - no wear at all and not a whiff of ageing. There's no edge wear to speak of and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
