Description
Creedence Cleawater Revival "Creedence Clearwater Revival"
This is an original US vinyl pressing on Fantasy 8382 from 1968. This is the 1st pressing on thick vinyl and the deep blue labels. This also comes in the very first cover, which does not have the red circle printed at top left that says 'includes Suzie Q'. This album sold millions and only the very first pressing came in the cover without 'Suzie Q' noted. ( If you need this issue with the original cover, then you know how hard it is to find )
This is the first album be CCR. It's a rock and roll/blues masterpiece. Every song is a classic, with a rock solid rhythm section, great guitars and the best voice in rock 'n' roll. It has the hit single : 'Suzie Q', plus the FM airplay standards : 'I Put A Spell On You', 'Ninety-Nine And A Half Won't Do', and 'Walk On The Water'. Three songs are covers and five songs are John Fogerty originals. It was produced by Saul Zaentz.
Overall Condition is : Cover is M- / Record is M-
The cover is Mint minus with no ring wear and no seam splits. There is tiny writting on the back cover where someone put an 'M' after 5 songs. The vinyl looks near mint and it plays near mint. The labels are clean with some spindle marks that can only be seen at an angle. The record comes in a plain white inner sleeve.
The songs are : I Put A Spell On You, The Working Man, Suzie Q, Ninety-Nine And A Half, Get Down Woman, Porterville, Gloomy, and Walk On The Water.
About Me :
I started collecting records in 1966. I started selling in Goldmine in 1985. I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby. And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon. My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.
Packaging :
I take great care on every package and I do each one personally. I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard. One sheet is 5/8 inch thick triple strength industrial cardboard. The other sheet is 1/4 inch double strength cardboard. Together they are very strong and unbendable. ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! ) I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic album sleeve. The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides.
Postage : Weight : 1 pound 3 ounces
You have to pay for the postage. I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office changes. There are no handling charges. This record will weigh 19 ounces ( 1 pound, 3 ounces ) when ready to ship. US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail. All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and a email with the tracking number. Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International. I will let you know the date I mailed your record and the US customs number. ( Buyers from Italy must assume all risks for shipping to their country. ) I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday) I will combine shipping if you win more than one record. Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.
