The original 8 track LP on Reaction Records

Please note that this album is complete and original December 1966 UK 1st pressing and is priced for its Near  EX condition vinyl and rarety....the mono version was deleted early 67 so super rare in good shape...possibly less than 2000 copies exist now in good order...

Robert Stigwoods Reaction Records in London only released 3 albums in total the Who also were on this label, 1966 and 1967 only, all later labels were on Polydor.

released December 1966 in UK selling 100,000 copies going Gold here in 67...

Fresh Cream was recorded at Rayrick Ryemuse Studios London , later known as "Chalk Farm studios" close to Camden London during the summer of 66 through to October,

Cream were formed in London during 66 and established the format of a power trio of high quality musicians, Eric Clapton was well known to blues enthusiasts from his time with John Mayall, this trio took UK electric blues to the next level, live shows were known to extend songs way beyond the confines of studio time the reputation was growing.

This is hugely important album for British Blues and the emergence of rock and a heavier sound..

the audio in mono is amazing and its rare in good order as the Mono version was deleted in early 67 so a  true 1st press mono Fresh Cream is difficult to find.

Some standout tracks here classic titles here "Rolling and Tumbling" "Four till late" "Spoonfull" "I'm so glad" all great interpretations if famous blues standards, pretty much their live set in this period, some of these numbers continued to be performed and again finally at Royal Albert "Goodbye" shows and recent the reunion shows at Royal Albert Hall.

"Wrapping Paper " and "The Coffee Song " totaling 10 tracks.

A true UK 1st press can be identified as THE 8 tracks Mono from 66 ..

The mono versions only resurfaced finally on a later CD issue in the 2000s...

The Record

Near Excellent

Near Ex vinyl light surface lines  under light . audio has some  static and surface  , its near Ex with some removal scuffs and scrapes from almost 58 years  sleeve removal over the years, bear in mind this is now near to be a 58 year old vinyl record! Nice fat pre oil crisis 60s mono vinyl wow !

Has the original 'Patent Applied for Great Britain ' inner impossible to find.

Plays well with bright crisp and clear sound may benefit from a professional clean (we don't do this as it's an individual thing) some background static and clicks are noticeable in the quieter passages but nothing to disrupt playing no sticks or jumps on our Rega 3.

The labels are free of writing doodles or stickers and retain great bold colours with no fade we can notice under light.

" Near Ex " vinyl a keeper .

The sleeve

Very good condition

Having done it's job over the years, the sleeve has some ring wear (see photos) its got normal handling like some of these have after over 58 years, Vault storage many years..

laminate hold up OK  some creasing in decent shape . a keeper for sure.

the sleeve is a 58 years old and has seen some use. 4 good corners see pictures.

Its fair to say that these first 1966 copies are getting very collectable ....still has its original inner supplied in a quality new pvc lined sleeve.

Spine is worn see photos but intact.

Plays through with great punchy Mono sound on the Rega 3

See photos....Please note this item is advertised for sale elsewhere also
