Cream - Disraeli Gears - Rare Original 1967 Stereo LP
This is a rare original stereo UK pressing of Cream's classic 2nd album 'Disraeli Gears'.
It's on the independent 'Reaction' label.
A rare variant, this copy has the 'Immediate Records' publishing credit on the label of side 1 and the correct (1966) date. Side 2, however, has the revised 'Copyright Control' credit but the date on the label says (incorrectly) 1967!
The matrix numbers on the record are: 594003 A-2 and 594003 B//3
The sleeve is the original front-only laminated 'Ernest J. Day' cover (rear of sleeve is U laminated). It also has the original poly-lined inner sleeve.
Condition:
Record: The record is in excellent condition. Very clean vinyl. Close scrutiny under unforgiving bright light shows a couple of marks on side 1, but these do not affect the sound quality of the record (I.e. No pops/clicks) at those points. There is a lovely deep sheen to the vinyl and it plays beautifully on both sides.
Labels: the labels are very clean and free from label marks, writing and tears. There is the mere hint of play around the spindle holes, but this is very slight.
Cover: the cover is in excellent condition. The laminate shows no sign of lifting and the sleeve edges are crisp and sharp. Very little in the way of record impression on the sleeve. The inner sleeve is the original poly-lined paper sleeve. It shows some age-related yellowing, but it is intact and has obviously done its Job well over the years!
Overall: a great copy of an iconic album. This original stereo version from 1967 would be a great addition to your classic rock collection!
