 NOTE: This is a 1957 very first cover and pressing of one of Hollywood Records most rare & sought after LPs; it was later re-released--and sold in much larger numbers--as "18 Big Rock 'n Roll Hits" with an alternative cropped cover. While this first version only lists 12 tracks on the front cover, it actually contains the same 18 tracks that the reissue did, which are listed on the labels. Most of the music is in the early Rock 'n Roll "Honking Sax" style, and reportedly performed by top studio session men in L.A. such as Jerry Cole, Steve Douglas & Don Randi. As for the vocals, the jacket claims they're by famous stars of the day, and the cover does feature among its models Julie Newmar and a young Vic Damone, who both worked for the label on other occasions. However, no record exists of who actually is singing on these tracks, and we're left to guess about who it may actually be.   

Vinyl: VG+ condition; glossy deepgroove vinyl; numerous superficial sleeve/handling marks and a few hairlines, but nothing feelable; no skips or repeats; still plays bright & loud with limited background! Labels are in excellent condition with very minimal wear!

Cover: VG+ condition; clean, cool celebrity jacket; the front cover is in great condition and the back is decent as well, but like most Hollywood Records the top-seam and spine are mostly split (see photos).
