An exceptionally tidy copy of this now scarce EP here from English pop singer Craig Douglas who was a very popular Teen Rock act in the late 1950s and early 1960s with his cover of Sam Cooke’s ‘Only Sixteen’ soaring to #1 in the UK and even out-sold the original version. ‘Time / After All’ charted #9 in 1961 with ‘The Heart of a Teenage Girl’ went Top 10 as well a year earlier.
His clean cut, teen idol image ( copied largely from the U.S. scene ) saw Craig do quite well, even starring alongside Helen Shapiro in the 1962 film It's Trad, Dad!, until one day he topped the bill on The Beatles’ first major stage show … the emergence of the Fab Four claiming another scalp en route to fame and stardom it seems.

CONDITION :
Vinyl : Only lightly played and around the EX mark for mine as certainly better than a strong VG+. A few very light marks only. Heaps of shine and plays through terrific both sides with no pops, skips or background noise.
Labels : Clean.
Sleeve : Pretty good. A small sticker at top right on front and some light marks at lower right. Some light creasing and edge-wear which is half-expected with these flimsy made paper sleeves. Still, no splits and minimal ring-wear which is a bonus here I would think. Overall it presents quite well.
