This is an original pressing (possible Promo) of the live double album "Concerts For The People of Kampuchea" featuring various artists (The Who, Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello, The Pretenders, Rockpile with Robert Plant, QUEEN, The Clash etc).  It was released in 1981 by Atlantic Records, USA # SD2-7005.  I purchased the album "brand-new", and as with most of my records, played it once and filed it away for safe keeping.  It is in "near mint" (like-new) condition.  The gatefold album cover is also in “excellent plus to near mint” condition.  There is a yellow sticker on the back cover (which reads “Factory Sealed”…this album is NOT sealed).  Back in the day, the record store owner would put these stickers over Promotional gold stamps.  My date of purchase (4-4-1981) is lightly written in pencil on the inner sleeve.  It is very easily erasable.  I will combine shipping charges for multiple purchases.  I always ship albums outside of the cover to avoid split album cover seams. 

Concerts for the People of Kampuchea was a series of concerts featuring Queen, The Clash, The Pretenders, The Who, Elvis Costello, Wings, and many more artists which took place at the Hammersmith Odeon in London during December 1979 to raise money for the victims of war-torn Cambodia. The event was organized by Paul McCartney and Kurt Waldheim, and it involved older artists such as McCartney and The Who as well as younger, new wave acts like The Clash and the Pretenders. The last of the concerts was the last concert by Wings. An album and EP were released in 1981, and the best of the concerts were released as a film, Concert for Kampuchea.

Concerts for the People of Kampuchea is a double album by Wings, the Who, Queen, Elvis Costello, the Pretenders, the Clash, the Specials, and other artists featuring highlights from the Concerts for the People of Kampuchea held at the Hammersmith Odeon in London to raise money for the victims of war-torn Cambodia. It has yet to be released on CD.
