Description

From the archives of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this classic of Oz rock. Various Artists. The Concert Of The Decade. Australian pressing. 1979. Mushroom. L4585/6. Two LP set in gatefold cover with photo inner sleeves. On Sunday 4 November 1979, Australian radio station 2SM presented a wild live concert in the forecourt of the Sydney Opera House. On stage were Australia’s hottest musical acts and collected on this 2LP set was the cream, including Cheetah, Colleen Hewett, Russel Morris, The Mixtures, Doug Parkinson, Hush, Marcia Hines, Stevie Wright, Max Merritt, Jo Jo Zep, Norman Gunston, Split Enz, Richard Clapton, Skyhooks, and Sherbet. The records are in Very Good Plus condition, some scuffing but no scratches and plays beautifully. Appears barely played. Cover in Very Good condition, only problem being cataloguing labels attached to front cover (see photographs), otherwise in excellent condition and would otherwise be considered Very Good Plus. Offensive Language warning sticker on front. Inner sleeves with photos and tracks listings in Very Good Plus condition, no issues. NOTE: Check my other auctions for rarities and extremities across all genres including RARE BBC Transcription Service LPs of Sherlock Holmes plays and jazz and international jazz discs.
