Hi there once again eBayers!
Here I am offering a rare Compilation White Vinyl Album, "Lethal Weapons", Suicide Records.
Released in 1978, this compilation is "Suicide's Greatest Tragedies", including Boys Next Door (Nick Cave, Mick Harvey, Tracey Pew & Phillip Calvert), Teenage Radio Stars (James Freud, Sean Kelly, Pierre Voltare & David Osborne), as well as X.Ray.Z, Survivors, Negatives, Wasted Daze and Jab.
The cover is displaying minor edge wear and some discolouration and some minor stains. The innerliner is plastic.
Conservatively, I would rate the vinyl as Very Good. It is difficult to see any marks. I have played the vinyl and, whilst there was a minor click at the start of Track 1, side 2 (this stops after a couple of rotations), it played well. It does not skip or stick. There is a noticeable warp in the vinyl when it is played, but I would say it is no more than 1-2mm. It does not affect the playing.
The label, has the name of the collector written on one side and inside the rear album slip (inside where the record goes), is ink stamped "Peter Duffy" and the date 20 Oct 1978. This record comes from Peter's vast vinyl collection. We have been informed that Peter was a founder of 3RRR FM radio station in Melbourne, Victoria. I have secured Peter's collection and, in general, it is clear that he had eclectic tastes and valued the vinyl highly. Many of the covers show small to significant wear from storage and I have assumed that the covers held very little interest for him.
