A rare item.
The first edition boxed set containing three LPs, of this classic work. From the collection of pianist Anthony Goldstone.
Cleaned using the finest Arc Du Son cleaning fluid on a Project cleaning machine, all three LPs are sparkling with no visible scratches and very very few surface marks. Labels have minor ring marks as shown in the detailed photographs. Playback is very good indeed, with just minimal static / surface noise that is to be expected with vinyl of this considerable age.
The sound quality remains bold and strong as one would expect from the first pressing from the master. Having play tested all three discs i grade them conservatively as VG to VG+ using the Rare Record Collector guide. Other sellers may grade these discs higher I’m sure.
The box has been professionally reinforced and is strong and square. It is an ex-library item, and the box features some evidence of this in the form of two labels, very minimal handwriting, and storage wear, as shown in the photographs. There are no inserts present, but the records retail their detailed original poly-lined inner sleeves.
