Description

An original 1st press of VS on the UK Vertigo label from 1969. Matrix 1/1. Please note label design is perfectly consistent with very 1st press in 1969 - the large Vertigo swirl can be found above the spindle hole and the 'Philips Product' text at the foot of the label. The heavy-set vinyl comes houses in an original gatefold cover - the very 1st issue with 'Philips Product' mentioned at the bottom of the left panel. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In very nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks - nothing feelable or likely to cause issues though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. These early Vertigo pressings were S-O-L-I-D! And that's why even with a few marks here and there this LP still sounds..Fabulous. Very little interference to pick up at all. Yes, possibly a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. But this bad-boy delivers a very reassuring clean rendition of this Colosseum classic. Highly recommended!
Cover (Vg+) Often found looking a bit worse for wear this example has survived the years in decent condition. Pretty clean front without the usual surface wear - one slight issue is a signature below the word 'SUITE'. It's black against a dark background so not that noticeable thankfully. The rear looks good too with just a bit of wear at the foot. The interior looks fine with just light handling wear. The one thing this title often suffers from is a bit of edge wear - and this example is no exception. Expect a good bit around the edges and onto the spine [no text visible]. It only seems to have worn through for about 1c.m. at the foot of the opening. Overall the cover still retains very good rigidity.
