Description
Collegium Musicum is a Slovak art-rock band. Its founder and leader was Marián Varga, one of the most popular rock keyboardists. The group began to form in the autumn of 1969 and was evidently the first creator of art-rock music in Czechoslovakia. Its core during the most productive and the most intense touring (1970-1974) consisted of Marián Varga, bassist and drummer Fedor Frešo and Dušan Hájek. With shorter breaks group worked on the music scene in 1979 ... According to music critics were Collegium Musicum the most advanced instrumental rock ensemble in Czechoslovakia, which significantly upgraded the domestic scene. Despite of difficulty had many listeners in then Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland and the SSSR.
