Description
Nice and very rare estate find. This came out of a radio station collection. Coleman Hawkins The Hawk Flies High. This 33 1/3 LP was recorded in New York City in High Fidelity on the Riverside label in March of 1957. Hawkins (tenor sax) is accompanied by jazz greats, IDREES SULIEMAN on trumpet, J.J. JOHNSON on trombone, HANK JONES on piano, OSCAR PETTIFORD on bass, JO JONES on drums and BARRY GALBRAITH on guitar. This is the very RARE WHITE LABEL initial release . The record depicted above is the actual one you will receive. I am not a record expert so please look at all of the photos and ask any questions before bidding. The sleeve has a little wear and minor soiling commensurate with age, use and storage. There is also minor bumping at the corners. No significant damage. The vinyl appears to be in very good, playable shape. The are no significant nicks or scratches. I have not played the record. It has been in clean, dry storage for at least 15 years.
A low starting bid and NO RESERVE insures a sale to the high bidder. I believe in true auctions so do not accept offers once a listed has started. Thank you for understanding and if you decide to bid, GOOD LUCK!
