Cocteau Twins, Victorialand, vinyl LP
A1. Lazy Calm, A2. Fluffy Tufts, A3. Throughout The Dark Months of April And May, A4. Whales Tails. B1. Oomingmak, B2. Little Spacey, B3. Feet-like Fins, B4. How To Bring A Blush To The Snow, B5. The Thinner The Air
There's a case to be made for this being the Cocteau Twins' most beautiful record. Simon Raymonde wasn't available for the writing and recording and as a result only two of the tracks have percussion on them. A gentle thudding bass line on "Lazy Calm" and some tablas on "Feet-like Fins". The rest is a delicious combination of Liz Fraser's vocals and rippling guitar and effects from Robin Guthrie. The album sounds quite sparse and airy compared to the dense production of the previous years' twelve inch EPs and is close to being an "acoustic" set of songs, although there's still plenty of layering. Each track like an isolated atoll in a distant coral sea.
Record plays perfectly, no scratches Sleeve is in excellent condition. Original inner sleeve - also in excellent conditon.
