Description

Working diligently with my librarian hat on. I am really proud of how well we took care of our things and collectables…just kinda forgot. We have hundreds of quality pieces…some seldom seen especially in the U.S. Some are rare or at least hard to find. I welcome International Buyers…I know you have to pay high taxes for both countries …and it takes forever, but collecting is like that, I know.

If the record/tape/book/toy/Objet d'art or a whatnot, is a mess - you will know about it and see it, if it was a cut out, I will show and tell.  Nonsmoking home, original owners and a few fine pieces from local collector friends who took care of their things as well.

Their most experimental affair yet, Thirst pitched the machine effects to overdrive with a set of obtuse noise-makers from all kinds of unlikely sources. Surprisingly, it's still nominally danceable though the emphasis is solidly on the experimental side of affairs.

 

AllMusic Biography bit by Jason Ankeny

In 1981, the group issued Thirst, which abandoned R&B accouterments in favor of edgy, abrasive electronic noise. Following its release, all of Clock DVA except Newton defected to form Box. After assembling a new lineup of saxophonist Paul Browse, future Siouxsie and the Banshees guitarist John Carruthers, bassist Dean Dennis, and drummer Nick Sanderson, Newton wrangled a major-label deal with Polydor, and Clock DVA soon resurfaced with 1983's Advantage, an intense montage of dance beats, piercing feedback, and jarring tape manipulations. However, Carruthers and Sanderson both exited following the LP's release. After a brief attempt to carry on as a trio, Clock DVA disbanded in late 1983.
