Description

The label has Blue Note Records 767 Lexington Ave NYC on both sides; 767 Lexington Ave., New York 21 address on the bottom of the back cover. The record has "RVG" and the "ear" inscribed in the dead wax on both sides. Clifford Brown, trumpet on all 10 tracks. Side 1, 5 tracks from 1953 also includes Gigi Gryce, alto sax, flute; Charlie Rouse, tenor sax; John Lewis, piano; Percy Heath, bass; Art Blakey, drums. Side 2, 5 tracks from 1953, also includes Lewis, piano; Heath, bass; Lou Donaldson, alto sax; Elmo Hope, piano; "Philly" Joe Jones, drums. There is a small tear across the label on Side 1 just above CLIFFORD BROWN'S name. It slightly interferes with some of the label identification. See scan. Very rare edition.

Cover: VG+ Intact and clean. Small green indicator sticker on the lower edge of the spine. 2 small indications of aging scotch tape on the back cover. Both marks are square in shape about 1"X 1". Some edge wear and minor aging on the back cover.

Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. Thre are 1 or 3 light, short surface rub marks, barely visible. There are some discoloration marks that appear to be in the vinyl produced during manufacturing and not caused by wear. These do not affect the sound. Possibly, there may be barely audible groove noise on 1 track for 1 or 2 revolutions. This is so light that it may not exist. I have added the (-) to adjust for the slight discoloration on the vinyl and and the rub marks. The record is very close to Mint. Moderately heavy vinyl pressing. Audibly checked.
