Description

An original 1st mono press of 'Latest & Greatest' on the PYE label from 1964. Matrix 1M/1M. Please note labels are consistent with 1st press and mention 'recording 1st published 1964'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse mono cover with flipbacks. Also included is the PYE inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Sad to say it but this release demonstrates how music should be made and perhaps where we've gone wrong in recent years. The sound quality is utterly awesome.. it sounds LIVE. The audio has been laid down in quick takes, no electronic jiggery pokery, just straight from the mixing desk to vinyl. Interference is practically non-existent. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. It basically rocks-out and plays super clean. And it's Chuck...what's not to like!
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Lovely clean front with only a couple of tiny creases. The rear, which is usually the let down, is almost totally free of fading. Just a couple of dots over by the track listing. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Nice!
Inner (Ex) No issues at all. No splits or ageing.
