Description

From The Black Angels' Christian Bland, comes his first solo release - The Lost Album. Here's copy #250 of 333 of Christian Bland & The Revelators debut release on vinyl.  The album cover art was screen printed by Christian, and also includes a signed & numbered screen printed insert. The record will be shipped in a sturdy cardboard box. Shipping in the USA will be $4 thru media mail. Overseas shipping will be $13. Please email me with any questions.  Here's a description of the album from the The Fire Note: The Lost Album was originally recorded back in 2007 in an old Ice Cream factory with fellow Texan Greg Ashely. Unfortunately the songs went missing for several years before they were just recently discovered earlier this year. The upside of this story is that they have now been recently released in a limited hand numbered LP edition of only 333. The Lost Album is everything you would expect and brings tons of fuzzed up guitars, reverbed vocals and grinding tracks that sound as fresh today as they would have in 2007. The reality is that The Black Angels have a much wider audience now compared to 2007, which seems like a plus if you are Christian Bland & The Revelators because The Lost Album surly will be heard by more people and should be a must for fans of The Black Angels or this genre. The record has it all, from the killer over 9 minute "Psychic Haze" to the sweet ballad of "Katy" plus foot stomper attitude high numbers like "Jabberwocky". It is this range and familiar feel that makes The Lost Album a solid 40 minute listen and Christian Bland & The Revelators another quality group in the genre. I would never want to see Bland quit his day job but if he did it is good to know that The Revelators could take it to the next level!
