WELCOME! I Work in a record store in Austin, Texas and I am going to be selling off some of my collection, I am starting off small, but I do have all positive feedback for records and other items, including some pricey heavy hitters and no complaints thus far thankfully. This week I'm offering a lot of RARE and OBSCURE items from lots of genres including disco boogie dub reggae rock etc. plus a variety of other non related items, some real gems included!

     Very hard to find funk 45 from Texas, along the lines of Latin Breed, Chelo Vasquez, Mickey and the Soul Generation. The local label is a pretty common one in San Antonio, but this 45 was only pressed in a small batch in the very early days of Joey records, and it is an absolute monster latin funk jam, with awesome vocals on the bside and excellent floor filling dance-ability. Because so few people have had a chance to hear it, I attached the complete A and B sides of this 2sided monster for your listening pleasure above, so turn it up and be amazed by CHICO'S BAND, one of the few great latin funk 45s not already overplayed and over hyped by all the comps and collections out there. Beautiful Copy, serious bidders only.

(Appologies to the readers of my previous details section for this auction, where I stated that it had not been auctioned on ebay before to my knowledge, it is very important to not only do your research thoroughly, but to do it recently! ie more than once every 10 months. To explain, 10-12 months ago I researched the hell out of this 45 and could only find a listing in the funk lexicon and the Texas Soul Funk book with a rarity grade of F (the highest for the book, if I remember correctly) but zero documented ebay, auction site, or internet sales anywhere on the net. In fact, there was only one obscure mention of it (on a catalog of 45s) from all the google results I searched through, essentially zero information on it at the time. So to be sure I went to a friend and store owner in San Antonio and he also agreed that he had not seen a sale and did not know of one for sale at the time anywhere, but that he had heard of it as being really sought after. But, as often happens in the collectible world, since that time there have been 2 auctions on ebay for this record to my knowledge, both from late 2009, in Sept and Dec respectively. So all that being said I assumed the previous situation 10 months ago had not changed, and I stated incorrectly that there was no Ebay auctions for this record, which is obviously no longer accurate, but that is the only point I would like to amend, the rest of the info remains the same, happy bidding.)

   Vinyl: EX+ (Absolutely incredible copy of this 45, very rarely played and it was sitting in a store room untouched for most of it's lifetime, I bought it directly from the store and have played it maybe 20 times, there is a slight paper scuffs and very light shelf wear, with one tiny tiny hairline scratch under a light, doesn't affect play, overall a superb item. Most stores would call this NM) 

Jacket/Label: EX+ (Comes in Generic off white sleeve it was issued in, and the labels are fantastic, only some slight wear around the inner rim of the label. The third picture above is a scan of the 45 with zoom etc.)

I try to Grade conservatively because everyone has different standards.
I use Gold Mine standard grading in ascending order of quality G, G+, VG-, VG, VG+, VG++, EX(+/-), NM, SS (or sealed unplayed).
